Hello from Daniel
I hope these few lines find you well. As I write to you I am relaxing in Tenerife. The last couple of months have been pretty busy. We had a great time recording Opry an Iuir in Newry back in September, it was great catching up with some of my friends from the music business that I don’t always get the chance to see. I really enjoy presenting TV and Opry an Iuir gives me the chance to brush up on my Irish. Trish will keep you informed as to when it will be aired.
After Newry we went to the UK. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces at the shows and as always it’s lovely to meet new friends as well. I hope those of you who got to see the show enjoyed the new programme we have put together. The new bands really are doing a great job. The tickets have already gone on sale for our UK shows for next year so I look forward to meeting many more of you then.
A few weeks ago I was invited back to the Strictly show “It takes Two” . It was so nice being back as a guest without the added pressure of analysing the dance that was to be performed that weekend. I also got to enjoy the live show on the Saturday night. I know exactly how all those dancers felt stepping on to that ballroom floor. What an experience it was for me.
My sister Kathleen’s daughter Fiona got married last week to Pete Cassidy and we had such a wonderful day at their wedding in Donegal. The sun shone bright for the happy couple and it was great to be part of such a happy family event.
That’s about all the news now I have for you, next week we head of to America so I’m looking forward to seeing some of you there,
Take care and God Bless
Until the Next time. Daniel
